Offered only twice per year, join Gillian for 2.5h of learning essential parenting skills to support your children's emotions, behaviour and mental health.
Many of us realize that we didn't learn how to deal with feelings from our parents, leaving us with our own adult struggles. We understand that our children need and deserve more from us but we don't know where to start. Social media teaches us some tips and tricks but it's not thorough enough to really make an impact.
In this workshop, you will learn:
The connection between emotion and behaviour
Why talking doesn't work and why self-regulation is a myth
What to say and when to say it that calms emotions, encourages communication and builds confidence and trust
How to be a "Co-Regulator" for your child so they can one day self-regulate their emotions
How to implement boundaries, consequences and other stuff kids don't like
Tangible, actionable skills to use right away
